Optical Domes
Optical Domes are used for applications requiring protection to camera lenses. They enable to reduce surface reflections and provide the wide angle of view. Optical Domes are used in underwater imaging cameras and wide view imaging cameras, particularly for surveillance and security. The most common materials include BK7, Fused Silica, Quartz and Sapphire. Selection of material depends on the environment which could be protecting aerial navigation systems or a sub sea dome for high pressure requirements.
