Zinc Sulphide (ZnS)

Zinc Sulphide (ZnS) is produced in two grades, multispectral water free grade & FLIR grade. The multispectral clear grade will transmit from the visible 400nm to 6 microns, IR 7-14 microns. FLIR grade is lower priced and only the IR. To increase transmission for both grades, AR coatings can be applied or an AR/DLC coating one side for added surface protection against the elements or harsher environments. AR coatings can be applied over the infrared regions and visible wavelengths with harder BBAR coatings.
