Schott RG9

Schott RG9 is an optical glass with remarkable transmission properties in both the ultraviolet (UV) and visible (VIS) regions of the electromagnetic spectrum.

With its high transmittance across a wide wavelength range, RG9 is well-suited for applications that require precise and efficient transmission of UV and visible light. This glass is often used in optics and photonics for applications such as UV microscopy, fluorescence imaging, spectroscopy, and other scientific research endeavours. RG9’s ability to pass UV light down to approximately 290 nanometres makes it valuable for studying and analysing materials and biological samples that emit UV fluorescence. Furthermore, its transmission in the visible spectrum ensures clear and accurate imaging for various optical instruments. The optical properties of Schott RG9, combined with its excellent chemical and mechanical durability, make it a reliable and versatile choice for a wide range of applications in research, microscopy, and analytical instrumentation, where the efficient transmission of UV and visible light is of utmost importance.
