Schott RG695

Schott RG695 is an advanced optical glass designed to be highly opaque in the visible spectrum while offering exceptional transmission in the near-infrared region, approximately between 0.85 to 1.05 micrometres.

This glass is ideal for applications requiring efficient blocking of visible light and the passage of near-infrared radiation. RG695 is widely used in scientific research, spectroscopy, and industrial applications where precise control of light wavelengths is crucial. Its ability to filter out unwanted visible light makes it particularly useful in systems where suppressing ambient light is essential for accurate measurements and sensitive analysis. Additionally, RG695’s excellent thermal and mechanical properties ensure reliable performance in challenging environments. Its applications are found in diverse fields, including astronomy, environmental monitoring, and material analysis, where the ability to isolate specific near-infrared wavelengths is critical for obtaining accurate and valuable data.
